Welcome to the Lewis County Farm Bureau Website
For over thirty years, the Lewis County Farm Bureau has been a part of this community, reaching out to all kinds of agricultural enterprises but never so much as when the flood hit in December 2007. The LCFB was on the scene coordinating relief services such as hay transport and livestock boarding. In days, a Flood Relief Fund was established with one hundred percent of the contributed dollars going directly to the affected farms. Board members made personal visits to the worst hit areas assessing damage and needs. In addition, tours of the "ground zero" area were conducted with representatives from State Government, Media and the State Farm Bureau in attendance. Public meetings were set up to allow the flood victims to meet with the various governmental agencies face to face. For the most up to date information with contact names and numbers, check out the Flood Relief link shown on the left hand margin.
On an on-going basis, your Farm Bureau is actively monitoring State and Federal legislation affecting agriculture, supporting the local 4-H and FFA chapter activities and generally being a presence in Lewis County.
